Sydney Sweeney reached out to TikTok user Mileshep following his video where he shared an encounter of spotting the American actress on a Gold Coast beach after she emerged from the water.

A local Aussie, Miles Shepherd, a content creator and part of the ‘Shepmates’ social media channel, recently posted a TikTok video stating he saw the Hollywood star appearing out of the ocean in a manner reminiscent of a James Bond scene while he was relaxing on a Gold Coast beach earlier this week.

“I was just sitting there, like this, on my towel,” he described the moment before recreating his stunned response upon witnessing the 26-year-old Euphoria actress confidently walking on the beach in her green swimsuit.

“That’s probably genuinely what I looked like. I’m still trying to process it. Hopefully, it wasn’t weird. But, what the hell?”

The initial video, recorded at Currumbin Alley, has garnered 3.2 million views as of Saturday morning and appears to have attracted the attention of Sweeney.

Updating his social media, Shepherd disclosed that Sweeney reached out to him via Instagram DMs, expressing, “u should’ve said hi.”

“She must’ve seen my TikTok because she sent me a DM, and I sent her one back,” Shepherd mentioned, sharing screenshots of their conversation.

He further explained that his carefully considered reply was a make-or-break moment, as he tried to invite the star for a date. It’s worth noting that Sweeney is engaged to Jonathan Davino, a US restaurateur.

Sydney has returned to the area to film additional scenes for her mature-themed romantic comedy “Anyone But You.”

Additionally, she’s gearing up to shoot Ron Howard’s survival thriller “Eden,” alongside Jude Law and Ana De Armas, both of whom arrived earlier this week.
